I love sessions that include grandparents! There is something so special about having all three generations together at once.
I worked with this family this past spring and had the pleasure of hanging out with them again for M's one year pictures. We did some birthday shots inside before heading out to play in the backyard. M was a happy one year old! He had an amazing smile and a contagious laugh. We had a great time goofing off and capturing the essence of being one.
We lucked out with some gorgeous fall colors for this family session. I really think it may have been the peak for fall foliage and we picked a great location to capture it. T is absolutely in love with his little sister and gives some of the best hugs around... and M was such a good sport about receiving all those big brother hugs. She was also quite a fan of all the leaves ;) I loved working with the K family!
You would never guess it, but as I drove over to this session, it was pouring rain!! Earlier that day it had even snowed/hailed. We waited it out and ended up with a gorgeous evening! I can't wait to share this gallery with this sweet mom and her adorable family.
I love Longwood Gardens in the fall and it's one of my favorite spots to shoot at with young toddlers. There is a lot to see and plenty of paths to explore. We had a beautiful fall morning a few weeks ago and little A was probably the fastest nearly one-year-old that I ever had the pleasure of chasing around!
This family has been so patient waiting for their images! I was so close to finishing them up and then we had "fall back" and well... we all know how that goes with kids. P was such a sweetheart and so easygoing during our evening session. She has the most sparkly eyes and just adored her mom and dad. We captured a great variety of images and P was so tuckered out by the end, she fell asleep in her mama's arms. It doesn't get any better than that!
I had a great time working with little L and her three big sisters! We had a beautiful morning for a backyard session and even had time to squeeze in a few indoor shots at the end.
I always have the best time working with this family! A and E really keep me on my toes and keep the energy flowing. I always think that leads to the best pictures though... and it definitely lets their personalities shine through. After rescheduling for rain, we couldn't have picked a more beautiful night. It worked out perfectly. I'm so happy I get to capture these girls as they grow!
I'm an over-sharer by nature, but especially when it comes to photos of babies and children. I really can't narrow them down! Each little moment in time is my favorite... until I see the next one. I overshare because what if that was the day the "clapping" phase ended? Or the last day they only had a couple of teeth? Or the last time they did the scrunched-nose-smile? I always have to remind myself that the nights may be... well… l o n g. But, babyhood is fleeting. Happy birthday, sweet O. I can't believe you have one year under your belt already!
I've known my friend, Beth, since before I can remember; we have been friends just about our entire lives. Beth is the most authentically honest and genuine person I know. She wears her heart on her sleeve and gives everything her all. I don't normally shoot weddings, but last month, I had the honor of photographing her wedding. It was amazing to see her get married to Ryan - someone who makes her incredibly happy and who is so devoted to family and lives life to the fullest. Beth got dressed in her old bedroom before heading downstairs to see Ryan. I felt the years slip away as we looked at old pictures and revisited memories from so long ago. After their first look, we captured a few portraits in the woods before the ceremony started. The backyard ceremony was very casual and intimate with lots of laughs and lots of (joyful) tears. After the small ceremony, the guests arrived and the party started! I had so much fun working on this and it's clear that all of the guests had fun too! Beth's goal was for me to be sneaky and capture lots of hidden moments. I hope that each time they look through their wedding photos, they feel like they did that day and they can relive each of those special moments once again. Congratulations, Beth and Ryan!!
I had so much fun spending the morning with this soon to be family of four! They were seriously the coolest family (is it still cool to say "cool"? lol). I love working with young kids, letting them lead the way, and capturing moments as they explore new places. I sent this gallery off over the weekend and I received the sweetest, most thoughtful thank you note from mom. It seriously made my week. I'm so happy she loved the images as much as I enjoyed working with them!
I spent a relaxing afternoon with four week old baby B and his parents a few weeks ago. We followed the light as it moved through their house and B got lots of cuddles along the way. They had just moved in to their new house, but you would have never known it; they were unpacked and quickly making the house their home.
A few weeks ago, I spent the morning with baby R and her family. She was so loved and so sleepy during our session. We took a walk at the beginning of our session and I loved that we were able to capture some shots outside!
I did a backyard Storytelling Session a few weeks ago. We hung out in the backyard and did what they do best - PLAY - and now mom and dad have some updated pictures of their kids having fun! The backyard and swing set is their favorite place to be and after a few minutes, they really forgot I was taking pictures. Who says you can't enjoy the dog days of summer? Especially when they have a brand new family member in tow!
I loved spending time with this sweet family as we captured some images of little G. He was so tiny! His favorite place was in his mama's arms... which is just as it should be!
I had a great time working with this family again! I couldn't believe how much older D looked now that he is a big brother. Baby Z ate and slept like a champ and couldn't have been more adorable.
I had a great time photographing this family of four; from jumping on beds to sweet newborn yawns, I think we covered it all! Baby B was so relaxed and calm throughout the entire session and is perfect new addition to their family!
